| Applicant who possess qualification at criteria 1 but do not have a pass in the subject area will be required to begin at the SPANISH 100 Level |
| At least five (5) subjects at CXC/CSEC General Proficiency Examination, Grades I, II, (or III from 1998) or five (5) passes at GCE "O" level, grades A, B, or C. Subjects must include English Language and the subject area to be studied. |
| Persons of mature age (a minimum of 26 years) in the calendar year of entry to the University who do not meet the minimum requirements but who have satisfy the University with evidence of recent academic achievement and relevant experience together with a pass at the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE). |
| Persons of mature age (a minimum of 21 years) in the calendar year of entry to the University who do not meet the minimum requirements but who have satisfy the University with evidence of recent academic achievement and relevant experience together with a pass at the University of Guyana Entrance Examination (UGEE). |
| Any qualification considered by the University to be equivalent to any of the above. |
